Holladay IOL Consultant (HIC) and Surgical Outcomes Assessment Program (SOAP)
Dear Valued Customer:
We truly appreciate your use of the Holladay IOL Consultant (HIC) and Surgical Outcomes Assessment Program (SOAP) and want to let you know of 2 major changes that will occur this fall.
1. Deluxe Edition Introduced and STANDARD EDITION no longer supported as of November 1st, 2009
Until now, we have offered a Professional and Standard Edition. The STANDARD EDITION is a “hold-over” from older Window’s Platforms such as 3.1 & 95. These Platforms are no longer supported by Microsoft and problems that have been identified by our users are often irresolvable. We are therefore DISCONTINUING THE STANDARD EDITION AND REPLACING IT WITH THE DELUXE EDITION.
The DELUXE EDITION will have all of the features of the STANDARD EDITION and some of the PROFESSIONAL EDITION. The DELUXE EDITON will NOT have NETWORKING, Multiple Users accessing the same database simultaneously, Network Downloads from Biometers such as the IOL Master, and cannot run under CompuLink and other Practice Management Systems.
The cost of the DELUXE EDITION will be $1595. If you currently have both the STANDARD HIC and SOAP, the UPGRADE will is $300. With the STANDARD HIC ONLY (no SOAP), the UPGRADE to DELUXE is $600.
The cost of the PROFESSIONAL EDITION is $1895. If you currently have both the STANDARD HIC and SOAP, the UPGRADE will is $600. With the STANDARD HIC ONLY (no SOAP), the UPGRADE to PROFESSIONAL is $900.
2. Platinum Technical Support $400/year
The Second change relates to Technical Support. In the past, our Programmer and I have done almost everything via email or fax. Beginning November 1, 2009, we will have a dedicated Technical Support Staff. As a result, we will be offering Platinum Technical Support, which will include
Phone Support (713 204 9944), Fax Support (713 669 9153) and
Email Support (support@hicsoap.com). A response or contact will be made within 1 business day. The cost will be $400 per year after the 1
st use of the Program or from the date of purchase of the Platinum Support. All USERS receive 90 days of Free Technical Support after the 1
st use of the Program. After 90 days without Platinum Technical Support, the cost will is $150 per incident. We now have the ability to take CREDIT CARD, CHECK/Money Order or WIRE TRANSFER at
www.hicsoap.com. For existing USERS, if purchased NOW, the START DATE will be January 1, 2010, so November and December will be free.
